(or is it doughnut)&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ozone.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/IMG_8856.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-3406\" src=\"https:\/\/ozone.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/IMG_8856.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"314\" height=\"419\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ozone.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/IMG_8856.jpg 756w, https:\/\/ozone.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/IMG_8856-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 314px) 100vw, 314px\" \/><\/a>Hummm&#8230;want to try to make some doughnuts at home&#8230;.first time&#8230;.wish me luck!<\/p>\n<p>Was Delicious and well worth the work.<\/p>\n<p>Although, I went to the pub and forgot them as they were rising it was ok in the end&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>also got lazy and did not do the glaze this time<\/p>\n<p>Everybody likes them at the house and the taste and texture is like the &#8220;real ones&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>280g of Flour.<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 Teaspoon of grated Nutmeg.<\/li>\n<li>40g sugar.<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 teaspoon salt.<\/li>\n<li>120g warm milk.<\/li>\n<li>1 egg<\/li>\n<li>7g dry yeast<\/li>\n<li>40g melted butter<\/li>\n<li>For Glaze:\n<ul>\n<li>75g Melted butter<\/li>\n<li>250g icing sugar or crystal sugar blitzed in the blender<\/li>\n<li>3 to 5 tablespoons of milk (adjust to preference)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>How to Make:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mix the dry ingredients<\/li>\n<li>Dilute the 7g yeast in a bit of water (I find it does not dilute well in milk)<\/li>\n<li>Add melted butter and warm milk<\/li>\n<li>Make a dough that will be fairly sticky. (oil your hands if necessary)<\/li>\n<li>Let rise in a covered lightly oiled bowl. (let rise to twice volume)<\/li>\n<li>Make a thick dough sheet and cut with the doughnut cutter or 2 cutting ring of the right sizes.<\/li>\n<li>Place on cling film with a tiny bit of oil so that it does not stick.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare oil in a pan or deep fat fryer. I use peanuts oil.<\/li>\n<li>160 celsius is OK temperature so that the doughnut rise and cook throughout without getting too dark.
