This recipe was first published on the 5th of June 2022.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>185g Flour<\/li>\n<li>4g Yeast<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon\u00a0 Sugar<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 teaspoon Salt for dough.<\/li>\n<li>10g Sea salt for decorating the Bretzel<\/li>\n<li>175g of warm milk<\/li>\n<li>35g butter<\/li>\n<li>40g Bicarbonate \/ Baking Soda (this is not baking powder)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once done, 15g melted butter.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>How to make :<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mix flour, sugar, salt and yeast in a bowl.<\/li>\n<li>Measure the butter into a glass jar and melt into the microwave for 30 seconds (cover with cling film or it will splash)<\/li>\n<li>add 175g of milk and warm up in the microwave for 30 seconds or until warm but not hot.<\/li>\n<li>add the milk mixture to the flour and make a dough. Knead to incorporate the milk into the flour. You should have a smooth dough ball. (It starts wet and gets better as you knead).<\/li>\n<li>Let the dough rest in a bowl for 90 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Once the dough has rested, cut it into 8 equal pieces.<\/li>\n<li>Roll into 50cm long strings<\/li>\n<li>Shape the Bretzel by making a U shape, then take one side over the other twice, then bring both sides to the bottom of the U, and push a little to make a good seal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ozone.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/images.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4159\" src=\"https:\/\/ozone.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/images.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"491\" height=\"419\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preparing a pan with boiling water and the baking soda, keep a gentle boil.<\/li>\n<li>Take each Bretzel shaped dough and dip it in the boiling water for 30 seconds on each side.<\/li>\n<li>Put onto a cooking tray with a silicone sheet.<\/li>\n<li>Cover all the Bretzels with approximately 10g of Sea Salt or Kosher Salt<\/li>\n<li>Cook in the pre-heated oven at 180 degrees fan assisted for 10 to 15 minutes depending on the colour you like on the bretzels.<\/li>\n<li>Let cool down on a rack and when ready to eat smush some melted butter on top&#8230;this step is compulsory (as not optional ; )<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id='gallery-1' class='gallery galleryid-4153 gallery-columns-3 gallery-size-thumbnail'><dl class='gallery-item'>\n\t\t\t<dt class='gallery-icon portrait'>\n\t\t\t\t<a href='https:\/\/ozone.me.uk\/?attachment_id=4171'><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/ozone.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/IMG_2756-150x150.jpeg\" class=\"attachment-thumbnail size-thumbnail\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/dt><\/dl><dl class='gallery-item'>\n\t\t\t<dt class='gallery-icon portrait'>\n\t\t\t\t<a href='https:\/\/ozone.me.uk\/?attachment_id=4170'><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/ozone.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/IMG_2757-150x150.jpeg\" class=\"attachment-thumbnail size-thumbnail\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/dt><\/dl><dl class='gallery-item'>\n\t\t\t<dt class='gallery-icon portrait'>\n\t\t\t\t<a href='https:\/\/ozone.me.uk\/?attachment_id=4169'><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/ozone.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/IMG_2758-150x150.jpeg\" class=\"attachment-thumbnail size-thumbnail\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/dt><\/dl><br style=\"clear: both\" \/>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We need to update the recipe to make it using Thermomix!
