She uses a wooden Spool but it deforms during the manufacturing process because of humidity etc.. She is therefore looking for a plastic spool. I offered to try to print one with my 3D Printer.<\/p>\n<p>I created a spool in Openscad, then tried to print. <a href=\"https:\/\/ozone.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/IMG_0671.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-506\" title=\"IMG_0671\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedehons.biz\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/IMG_0671-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"853\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ozone.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/IMG_0671-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/ozone.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/IMG_0671-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/ozone.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/IMG_0671-1152x1536.jpg 1152w, https:\/\/ozone.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/IMG_0671-1536x2048.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/ozone.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/IMG_0671-scaled.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a>However because of the overhang, it is better printed in 2 parts that assemble back to back.<\/p>\n<p>I am now in Version 5 of the Openscad design and seem to be going backwards versus the very first version I printed.
