I initially did seven long and thin peppers, but this was not enough !!!<\/p>\n<p>The quantity on the left here is eight large, round peppers. (not the thin long ones in the pictures below)<\/p>\n<p>I did not use any salt or pepper on the first go and now i prefer with a little bit of salt and white pepper.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Some red peppers, the ones with thick meat.<\/li>\n<li>Garlic cloves as many as the peppers<\/li>\n<li>Olive oil for cooking and preserving<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Make:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Roast the peppers so that they get a bit of colour in the oven or air fryer (make sure they are roasted on all sides. This is important to help with the peeling later.<\/li>\n<li>Take it out of the oven and cover it with aluminium foil, let it rest for 10 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Cut the peppers in half the long way.<\/li>\n<li>Peel the peppers and de-seed them, then place them on a plate, keeping the juices.<\/li>\n<li>Make long slices with the peppers.<\/li>\n<li>Slice the garlic cloves thinly. (A big one per pepper)<\/li>\n<li>Put in a pan with all the juices and the garlic for a couple of minutes (to tenderise and mix the flavours, do not cook the peppers)<\/li>\n<li>Put all the juices and peppers into a preserving jar and cover with olive oil.<\/li>\n<li>The pepper slices are soft but do not fall apart.<\/li>\n<li>Let everything cool down for a day and keep it in the fridge.<\/li>\n<li>The oil will solidify, so you will need to take out the preserves before eating them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ozone.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/IMG_1348-scaled.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-4832\" src=\"https:\/\/ozone.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/IMG_1348-225x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ozone.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/IMG_1348-225x300.jpeg 225w, https:\/\/ozone.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/IMG_1348-768x1024.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/ozone.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/IMG_1348-1152x1536.jpeg 1152w, https:\/\/ozone.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/IMG_1348-1536x2048.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/ozone.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/IMG_1348-scaled.jpeg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A recipe from my sister-in-law that I have meant to make for a little while!
